Dr. David Brown, president of the Class of 1970, along with Col. Wayne Green, U.S. Military Academy chief of staff; John Connors, vice president and first captain of the Class of 1970; and Dr. Betsey Blakeslee, president of the Friends of the American Revolution at West Point, cut the ribbon at a ceremony in Kosciuszko's Garden on Sunday, August 7. The ceremony recognized the first major initiative in the Class of 1970’s preservation efforts of the fortification system from the American Revolution at West Point. Their initial $150,000 donation will reconnect Kosciuszko’s Garden to the Revolutionary Supply Trail, and will also provide designation for Battery Knox.
